'' EARTH AND HEAVEN " MY PHOTO, © :

May be an image of flower and nature

Once upon a time a story I heard: They said that each soul before is incarnated into the material world Is asked to choose the conditions under which would like to live. In that way, The heavens, by offering the soul Free Will, would not Be responsible for the predicaments the soul, inevitably, will face. It is said that, One of the most difficult decisions a soul has to make, Is when it is called upon its preference between wisdom and riches to Make known. Now, If the soul chooses riches over wisdom, the riches transitory would be, Lasting only as long as one in the material world remains. If, however, wisdom the soul chooses over riches, wisdom will be perpetual, Lasting not only as long as one exists on earth, but also when it Returns to heaven. For that reason, the story tells us, God sends an angel to each soul to advise it on what to choose. Unfortunately, many souls are blinded by wealth, so wealth's path they Follow, excluding thus themselves from heaven's treasures! © Demetrios Trifiatis 01 March 2023

As you know I have studied philosophy and got my Ph.D. in Greek philosophy, therefore, this little humble story I wrote is inspired, mainly, by Pythagoras and Plato. Your comment refers to Proverbs 8. Of course, I lack the wisdom of our Lord. I realized further my ignorance after reading psalm 8 which you mention. Unfortunately, I ignored it. You have to admit though that my story is different. It is not an ode to wisdom, it is about human choices. Thank you! Be blessed!

I know which one I'd choose, sadly the foolish ones would choose riches, they'd get a shock when they find they can't take their wealth with them when they die. Tom

No doubt you have already chosen wisdom over riches, dearest Tom. Unfortunately, not all of our fellow men make the same choice as you. Be blessed.
