Swap Quatrain
Created by Lorraine M. Kanter, eight syllables per line each stanza must be a quatrain (four lines) where the first line is reversed in the fourth line. In addition, line 2 must rhyme with line 1, line 3 must rhyme with line 4, and so on, BUT not repeat the rhyming pattern. Rhyming pattern: AABB, CCDD, EEFF, and so on.

Fragile flakes with the purest white; an incredible winter sight. Like icing sugar, dusting cakes with the purest white fragile flakes. Tumbling down on a gentle breeze, Winter's magic coats barren trees. And snow gets spun into a gown on a gentle breeze, tumbling down. With Winter's white, white whitewashing all, the snowflakes continue to fall. And countless billions will alight, whitewashing all with Winter's white.

wow, you were so creative to use swap quatrain here. Wish I had thought of that. Hey, Emile, please check your email regarding your second contest on Monchielle stanza. A glitch happened again but possibly I fixed it this time. it looks like my test is entered. Can you read your email from me? Thanks.

“ and snow is spun into a gown” the way you describe and paint imagery is so exquisite dear emile. Its so good to read your work again. You always leave me captivated by the cadence and flow of your vividly descriptive word weaving. I especially love “ Fragile flakes with the purest white” “ Like icing-sugar dusting cakes“ wow! So unique! Magical! The kind of lines we dont see everyday. And through yiur words snow looks ethereal! Love it! A fave this is for me! And happy new year dear emile!
