12/29/18 Winter Wonderland Contest Emile Pinet

Freshly fallen snow... a carpet of white Blinding pure covering... satin on fields Under crystal stars bright in clear moonlight Blowing snow gathers into drifts and yields Scattering of dreams that faithfully wields Layers of hope which conformity shields Majestic wonderland... a winter scene Captures a powerful wondrous glory Mother Nature's creation of serene Sublime introspection... the true story Clarity maps out new territory A magical moment... transitory A full moon's winter wonderland glistens A natural enchantment sky to sea The beautiful stillness clearly listens To limitless space that's frozen yet free Subtle activity appears the key This perfect picture is not just for me Winter wonderland... unforgettable Awe-inspiring... simply incredible

Thanks for sharing this. By God's grace, I greet you with the peace and joy of Christmas and prosperous New Year along this present: "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23 of the King James Bible). God bless you.

This should have effectively notched the top slot, if for such a distinctly themed contest as is thereunder appended... especially for its unbeatable figurative turns adeptly vinegared with a felicitous profundity of nuance, all well subtly palpable throughout the entire sumptuous piece. Kudos!

A wonderful write Susan. The subtle change from introspective contemplation which you know will not last to the desire and possible need to share this beautiful scene with others in the lines "Subtle activity appears the key This perfect picture is not just for me" creates depth and emotion in your write.

I love looking at enchanted landscapes covered in snow, but these temperatures way below zero are a real hardship to live with. A wonderful poem you have penned Susan. I am sorry I can't keep up on all the poems. I have always enjoyed your poetry. Have a lovely Valentine's Day! xxoo

I enjoyed the sincerity I sensed pushing the ink's imagery forward, and really got in to the read. ALSO, I'm so glad to 'see' you, I've clicked on you from time to time and found you gone. Again, I'm glad I was wrong. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
