Olive, this is just beautiful. The alliteration flows so naturally, and your imagery pops right off the page! I love the idea of snow falling like feathers, and those frosted brown "cake" houses. That last line is the perfect ending! Big congrats on your 1st place win in my contest :)

Love your take on this winter theme, Olive_eloi! very creative 'architecture', especially the snow-covered houses which you liken to icing-sugared cakes. hugs // paul

Exquisite imagery and love the comparison of snowflakes to feathers. It takes me back to our last snow fall and even though I am not a big fan of snow (due to the hardship it cause farm animals) I must admit it creates some divine beauty. A very enjoyable poem.
