Winter

At the edge of winter hung the bright sun. As the trees held out their arms. To greet the warmth. Dark and light came and went. As the shadows fell across the sky. Winter will be sleeping soon!

One of my favourite seasons and you captured the mood so well in your verse, love the first verse in particular. The image of the trees outstretched embracing the season. Magic.

A lovely poem about one of my favorite seasons ... We have had some unseasonable warmth here in Wisconsin this week, so it was nice to read this and feel a little cooler... Great writing as always, Debbie :)

Debbie, I thought I Had commented to you just yesterday but if I did, I can't find where I went to comment. I am surprised you have never entered a Soup contest. Why not? It's the main reason I joined here. The contest themes are what inspire me to write. Hope you will try it.
