I saw this one won. The nickname shall be: "THIS WON ONE" or do you like "THIS ONE WON"---I dig your play on words! This is right up my alley!

it is hard to make my mind read the poem correctly....does the first line need to be corrected? I like the title better!

oh, my gosh, i just now noticed the metaphorical title you gave it. how you separated windswept into winds wept. I actually was making myself SEE it as Windswept. I think you should somehow fit that same showing of the title into the haiku itself if you ever try to publish this because haiku don't have titles and how, otherwise, could you show off that great trick of winds wept?

I am so happy you got my metaphor here, Andrea :D-- I put the spacing in the title to sort of leave a clue for it, since I wasn't sure whether it would be obvious...I wanted it to be read either way :D so you first read it as "winds wept"? thanks again sweetie :)

WOW, nikko. Way to go. It's definitely a "haiku moment' . I love that line for the leaves: dry and cold! congrats on your NUMBER ONE!! Luv, Andrea
