Wild and free
My service dog and I
Sitting here under the night sky
Wind whispering through the trees around
The river making a roaring sound
Giant trees swaying
Watching the animals playing
Don't even seem to notice my dog and I
So many things catch my eye
Some deer eating grass near by
Quietly we sit enjoying the night
Don't need a light
Full moon
Good as noon
Mountains looming high
Watched an owl take to the sky
Somewhere a wolf starts to cry
Sitting here not making a sound
So much beauty to be found
I look over and see
The wild and free
Standing so close to me
A deer off to my right
Just feels right
Hearts beating so fast
Wish this moment would last
My dog looks up at me
Content at what she does see
The moment breaks
The deer sees us and off she takes
Time to go
And I know
Tomorrow there will always be another show
