I have been a dedicated (adddicted) runner since 1973 logging over 45,000 miles on these knees.  Its MY TIME...when life actually comes to a stand still while I dart off to explore my world, on foot.
Some things in life Seem natural. Riding a bike, Shoes that get scuffed, Swimming the lake, Summertime hikes. So why is it, Some people run Laps at the track, Jaunts through the park, Expanding lungs, Pain without fun. Answer is plain. The joy of time, Spent unafraid, Far from the grind, No calls to make, Time all one’s own!

As a fellow long-time runner, I appreciate this very much. Several of my writes are about the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects running. Nice one.

And that feeling that you get when it is done. That's my fav moment, the end of the run.

Dear Michael: I think jogging is a chance to sort out your thoughts, say a prayer or repeat a personal wellness mantra or just get away from the stress and strain routines. Personally, I do 2-3 times of active brisk walking just to keep my ageing body from fatigue! And I have a personal self-affirming rhyme that I repeat during the 3km walk. I find that it keeps me feeling fit all-round. So,p, that's my take. A good write you have here. All the best then. Leon
