Who's Saving Who
I squeezed and held her very tight.
To try and stop her trembling fright.
I massaged her as it seemed to help.
And in return, she didn't yelp.
We gave her treatment for the fleas.
And a distemper shot with ease.
She seemed to truly trust us now.
I was so moved, I just said Wow.
To truly win somebody's trust.
I think it helps us all adjust.
There is a saying in society.
Who saved who, you or me?
Note: This was just the way I started my day volunteering at the humane society. While volunteering is a lot of work. I've never done or been involved in something more rewarding. I am grateful they let me come and help.
