Who Will Answer the Call
How should we remember them?
Those men and women -
Who have died for us?
How should we remember them?
Do we remember them in thoughts?
- only come in once in a while
Do we remember them in salutation?
- visiting their graves
Or do we remember them in deeds?
- taking on where they left off
- taking care of their children
Just ask yourself what do you like
others to do for you when you are gone
And do it
Thoughts are not enough, my friends
Prove it
Prove it that you care for me and for you
Yes. You.
If it wasn't for me you wouldn't be here
Me as I am fighting for you
Me as I am taking care of the fort so you can have liberty
Me as ahh you got the answers
Remember - talk is cheap
You have to pair it with your actions
When was the last time you visited someone
who has passed away fighting for their country?
When was the last time you tell someone you care
and prove it?
Blood built this foundation
and upon it comes you and me
It takes sacrifice
And there is no higher calling
They did their jobs
It is our turn to do theirs
What are left to do?
And do it
America - here we come
Come for our calling
Whatever you want us to do
Whether fighting in the front
Or taking care of business at home
Who will answer the call?
