Who I Am

I am from desert rains beating on the roof calming weary eyes I am from late night gazing at stars, letting imagination free to fly I am from early Sunday morning star wars shows I am from dad’s stinky athletic clothes I am from my brother's toys on the kitchen table I am from old books of Grimm fables I am from warm hugs and caring hearts I am from hard work and broken crayon parts I am from broken rules and pouting faces I am from time-pressed hugs with stressed out traces I am from stale memes and inside jokes, I am from hard times clinging to hope. I am from laughing so hard it makes you cry I am from love and temporary goodbyes.
