Whispers In the Distance

I can almost hear you calling my name in muffled gasps as the zephyr of spring breathes in a somber whisper through these sprouting trees as I sit beneath this onyx sky the bowed moon slips above this clouded veil of night that hides the stars from view yet i close my eyes momentarily making wishes as I watch them pirouetting in and out glistening like fireflies amongst swaying fields i remember us dancing with the same graceful moves as if we'd never part ways until darkness came and left me with the same emptiness as this june sky swirling above me... June 12, 2020

Wowww this is sparkling with poetic beauty and brilliance, I love reading and writing with dance terms too so I enjoyed your wording and zephyr is my fav poetic word. And comparing stars to fireflies is super!!
