Whispering Colors
~
A soft yellow ember,
the sun is arising
Horizons remember
the smile on your face
Meadowlarks sing
as the morning approaches
The start of a new day
in hues to embrace
Rose petal heavens
with clouds painted cotton
Skies now are yawning
a sapphire glow
Apricot kisses
on dahlias blooming
With northerly breezes
of autumn a ‘flow
Tangerine ribbons
through branches still sleeping
Like stained glass illusions
in robin’s egg blue
Dawn has arrived
in kaleidoscope splendor
It’s colors now whisper
good morning to you
~
