While We Sing a Melody
Colder days come dancing
through the forest on the hill
Snowflakes fall a symphony
harmonic to the chill
Trees undress of leaves
that fall so softly to the ground
While we sing a melody
as winter now is found
Gardens slumber peacefully
the earth a blanket warm
Squirrels gather acorns
seeking shelter from the storm
Holidays now fast approach
good cheer felt all around
While we sing a melody
as winter now is found
Jackets, boots and mittens
seem to be what we now wear
Frigid are the breezes
drifting slowly pon the air
Fireplaces now are lit
with logs they do abound
While we sing a melody
as winter now is found
