While Waiting
While waiting, opportunity went rushing by;
While waiting, others met and fell in love;
While waiting, dreams were reached by those who don’t;
While waiting, seasons changed and were forever lost;
While waiting, doors, once opened, now slammed shut;
While waiting, the ship came in and sailed out again;
Nothing great was ever achieved;
No miracles ever occurred;
No fortunes won or innocence lost;
While waiting.
