When My Children Look At Me
When my children look at me, I hope they see generosity.
When my children look at me, may they not see my hypocracy.
When my children look at me, I hope they see my honesty, I hope they see the good in me, I hope they see resiliency, and the weight I carried constantly.
But most of all, as my children age, I hope they remember my smile, when we would go for a hike and they’d get carried for miles, how I worked as hard as I could through tribulations and trials.
Just know that I love you and I always will, and I’ll make you a better person with the lessons I instill.
And never be afraid to disappoint me when you folly, I’ll be here to taeach not judge, never be afraid to call me.
