What Scares Me

What Scares Me I've been here and I've been there and ain't nothing but one thing anywhere that makes me scared at the penitentiary. Those closing bars would get wild hollers cause men face a century and other men with themselves weren't true The loud noises and sudden fights and a man taken down with a homemade knife frighten most through and through I can sleep next to a freaking murder and that wouldn't bother me neither too. Y'see my tears well up and I be trembler when I get out and I see my 12 year old son - *this poem was censored by Poetry soup so the word freaking is another word and the coarse language was removed.
