Waves
Staring at the ocean
as waves wash endlessly
upon the sandy shore
a timeless rythym
methodical beats lapping
endlessly on the shore
surging and reclining
in non ending repetition
lulls you into a sleepy trance
once in a while a spray
takes you by surprise
the calmness can fool
the change immediate
dark and dangerous
raging and foaming
the once calm
wild with anger
rocking and tossing
waves at great height
that can take a life.
