                                            Wouderd and bewildered.

Scrubbed rubbed the wrong way And left hung up to dry Blown away in the wind Treated like a leper I wasn't perfect but I tried Treated like a sinner Condemned sentenced Feeling small with no judge or jury When I hadn't sinned at all.

“ i wasn’t perfect but i tried” that line hits so strong and deep dear peter. This flows with such sincere emotions, and sometimes, we dont get what we give but we still give and that is a comforting thought to know that we tried despite all, and to be treated like a sinner condemned and sentenced is not fair, when one is innocent. This really is poignant and powerful, felt so much reading this. Sending you light

what a helpless feeling you created with your words. My heart goes out to the narrator who 'wasn't perfect but tried.' The feelings you express in the last verse are very similar to the ones my hubby experienced before his 1st wife left him. To this day, those feelings haunt him. Your poem is sincere and powerful. Bless your Hubby. I know the feeling. It leaves scars. I haven't known you long, but I sense he was lucky..you're a nice lady, and have empathy, insight and respect. I hope he has found solace, from the the better one. Thank you Pete.
