Walking On Sunshine
Call me little miss Dorothy from the wizard of Oz fame, for today I’m
Clicking my ruby red shoes, on the golden bricks on the sunshine path,
Ain’t no wicked old witch going to slow me down, for I’m bound to rock in
The emerald party town beyond realities safety zone!
Melting liquid light shine rays cascading from Nirvana on the heights
Shimmering divides, mystic to the magical power of the human imagination,
I’ll glide on the inspirational tides beyond the veils of the timeless tides,
To dwell within epic world known as the land of Oz.
Come one, come all those with the wild hearted spirit, lets ride upon
Those twisting breezing of destiny’s storming tornado winds, never to be
Tamed or bridled, desperado’s denim jeans cowgirls screaming with liberations
Ultimate hillbilly yell, yee-haw, to hell with social acceptance, why not just
Have a ball instead, and set your poetic soul to drift upon the dream in this
Magical realm of inspiration!
Whom has not ever wanted to jump into that hot air balloon of wondrous
Fame, to float amongst the rainbow light of an undiscovered world beneath
Their feet, oh to experience the sights and sounds of fantasy’s unchained melodies
Of the human imagination gone free falling into enchantment’s mystical flights
Of spiritual indulgence, count me in on this adventure for I’m a passenger,
With a passport ready to be stamped, as a lost castaway forever!
Oh don’t cry Mr. Tines woodmen for my heart belongs to your creaking
Soul eternal, with roses red I’ll oil thee with sweet words of softest poetry,
Until your mine I’ll whisper ever so gently into your ears, of loves passionate
Lyrics spoken beneath the oldest oak in Oz.
Have no fear my fearless lion, for I’ll protect thee from that wicked old
Witch with a river of liquefaction's pail filled to the brim, I’ll be your slayer
Of evil dragons, crones and nasty elder ladies with delusions of world
Domination, for I’m just that much of a kitty cat lover, my purring friend,
With a coward complex!
Scare Crow what a mindful fellow are you, not to realize how smart
Thou’est are, to help others without reservations restraints, to have
The courage to stand against all the odds, no matter your own personal
Satisfice I’m humbled before your intelligence and compassion!
Yes, I’m just a Kanas City Gal at heart, lost beyond the rainbows end
Of fantasy’s kingdom beyond, call me Dorothy of Oz a resident
Of the black and white silver screen, colorized with brilliance blazing
Inspirations undertones, is there no place like home for me, don’t you
Already have the answer my friend, it’s called the mystical land
Known as Oz, and here is where my childhood heart forever belongs,
Walking on the golden path of sunshine’s road!
