Waiting
WAITING
Life is full of noise:
Girls laughing,
Boys teasing,
Music playing,
Drums drumming,
Dogs barking,
Grandmas humming,
People talking,
and the TV blares
but no one cares.
And I wait quietly by the door.
Maybe she'll come home like she did before.
Birds singing,
Bees buzzing,
Neighbors yelling,
Church bells ringing,
Train whistles blowing,
Dancers tapping,
The clock ticking, ticking, ticking,
and the TV blares
but no one cares.
And I wait quietly by the door.
Maybe she'll come back once more.
