Vulnerable began as a free verse or rhyme but I was trying to educate myself of various forms of poetry. Here is the original poem... The only flower blooms in a feild of withered weeds The wind howls a strong, violent breeze A single drop of water drips on the desert sand So lost and alone, just like I am new life exposed to below zero A snowflake falling through sun beams In this place that is so cold The last leaf on winters bare trees *I am exposed, like I have no skin I've just been born,I am naked again A thousand eyes behold, there's nothing they cannot see Nowhere to hide in this vast, stormy sea You've torn down my only refuge Stolen all of my pride Given every hand a stone, they sling with their eyes And now, here I stand Since you left me alone Since you left me alone With who I am*
Vulnerable The only flower In a field of weeds The wind is how'ling A strong, violent breeze A drop of water On the desert sand So lost and so a Lone, just like I am I am so exposed Like I have no skin I've just been reborn I'm naked again A thousand eyes look Nothing they can't see Nowhere to hide in this vast, stormy sea You've torn my refuge Stolen all my pride Given all hands a stone They sling with their eyes And now here I stand Ever Since you left Since you left me a Lone with who I am.
