Victim of the Stage of Life - Out of Eden Iii
(Out of Eden III)
Peace I have found, yet cannot keep hold
As forever the desert winds blow cold
My face has kissed the dust of Earth
And all my life is one big mirth.
Am I the actor?
Pray tell: What is my role?
I run and I skip, when walk I should walk
I scream as I speak when talk I should talk
The stage is bare so none applaud
My only audience, are leaves that rot.
Am I the prey?
Pray tell; Where do I run?
I stood on the Sun and my feet did not burn
My outstretched hands, good spirits spurn
I wanted to fly with these invisible wings
Kept crashing to earth and everything stings.
Am I the foe?
Pray tell: To whom do I turn?
My innocence is a plague, my sincerity a curse
For where are my friends, when empty my purse?
Is a dog a dog …when parrots can bark?
I’ve seen fish walk, even fly in the dark!
Am I the victim?
Pray tell: How do I tell?
But then I found God; The One, Almighty He
Created the ‘He Art’; beats strong within me
His Son my best friend, as saved me by deed
Act: One, ‘Seen’: Three - Father, Son, and Spirit need.
i am of the I Am
Pray, ‘PRAY’! The Final Curtain: FAITH!
