Unknown? Accident

My heart was pounding inside, Got scared to death, I thought I was the one, Who supposed to die tonight, Driving on 405, Speed of 70 mph, A sudden of break, The car in front, Boom! All I saw was a orange flash, And sparks in my face, Running off like fire crackers, On the air, flied away! My face was a red apple, Shocked of nothing to say. My mind its in own ways, God please save these people, I hope they are alright, I wonder why it wasn't me? What is my purpose on earth?

Hi Shirin, no I am online again after having been cut off for many weeks. I am enjoying my new surroundings. Still had no time for posting new poems. Hope you recovered well from your accident - I mean soulwise. So many things can happen today and driving is always dangerous. I do wish you a happy New Year! Gert

Excellent write, trajedy witnessed will cause us to question our own mortality and place in the grand scheme of things. It rains on the just and unjust alike, meaning good and bad things happen to us all. Our sole purpose is to serve and bring honor to God. These are only my thoughts on the questions posed by this imaginative piece.

The last two questions are important ones. The last one only you and God can answer. There is a reason you are here and by being in an accident at 70 MPH that gives me more reason to believe that you have a purpose. Take an inventory of what you are good at. Develop your gifts. Keep the pen flowing because you could be the one who's gift is recognized and you could have a great influence on many. Sara
