Two Turkey's At the Door
There was a grand turkey at my door, draped as a sheep
Welcomed him in and sat at the table, and we talked
He gave out nothing of merit, spoke lies with barely a peep
Questionable motives told during this fable, and we walked
The ledge was near, and he stood behind me, two paces
Ready to leap was I, for he was bound to give push
He hated me so, for he was a wolf and had many faces
Woe, had I the knowledge now that I had then, two in the bush.
There was a meek turkey at my door, smelled wolf-like
Allowed him in and sat at the table, and we talked
He gave me pure love, truth, and drove it in with a spike
Hammer of God came down on the table, and we walked
The ledge was near, and he stood beside me, two paces
Ready to hold on was I, for he was sure to stop my fall
He loved me so, for he was the sheep and had many graces
Thank you God for giving me the knowledge to love them all
