Two Lenses

As a child I loved to ride 'Thunderbolt" into the wind living then rural, Thunder was my best and only friend but now that I have grown so much older, more wise, mature I no longer desire shoveling barns, filled with manure!

Yeah, but I'd go through a lot to enjoy the friendship of a horse. Cute little couplet.

Hahaha ... funny punchline there, and you managed to do it so quickly and to the point. Gotta work to ride the steed. My niece used to have a pony named Galaxy, and so I've seen what "piles up".

Interesting story of the B-32, it never saw combat in Europe, and what little combat it had was in the Pacific. But it had serious problems, and by the B designation, one would think it was a Boeing product. Not so, it was Corsair and so heavy it almost could not fly. But I am giving away most of my details of my next Blog, so will not tell more here. But I love the poem Thunderbolt. Do you remember the movie THUNDERHEAD? He was a white stallion.

Porter Wagoner had a horse, whom I first heard about from Si Siman who gave Porter his big start in Sp[ringfield, anyway I lived in Springfield and had some dealings with si Simon, who had an office in a big rock building on Glenstone St, but he told me quite a bit about Porter

Ron, Indeed I do remember Thunderhead and Trigger and Gene Autry's horse Champion and Dale Evans' Buttermilk, Flicka, Fury, Mr Ed, Hidalgo...and then we get to Man O War...My mom use to pet Man O War as a grammar school girl and then she'd run real fast to hurry to the back of the line so she could line up to pet him again....

Ron, it's called schitt, not found in any dictionary....Thanks for stopping. Put VeeBdosa in the contest, he's got that special talent...but remember two lines of your childhood likes and two lines now of your dislike of things you once liked. I am not sure you can write only 4 lines..so take the challenge! Cheers!

My kid brother and I shoveled for 32 cows in our dairy barn, and sometimes we had to tie their tail to their leg so they could not swat us with them. We had many a squirt milk contests in that little 8 stall milk barn. LOL
