Trapped Fly
I see a bottle on a green
Royal marble mantelpiece
Behind a sheer screen
Dividing the abyss
Of hidden knowledge
With a little black fly
Trapped forever inside
She flies around in wide
Circles all the time
Flapping her little wings
She hits clear glass walls
Keeping her inside
With black skinny legs
Like broken strings
Of an old vintage violin
Dangling in the air
She flies away again
And slowly swings back
In another wide circle
Without noticing the glass
That keeps her inside
She moves around
Dancing in a bottle
Trapped forever to think
That the world she lives in
Behind a green glass
Is the whole Universe
