For the Transmutation contest by Unseeking Seeker

“we woke up early one morn, ego shorn it felt as though we were in form reborn nodes within stirred, boundaries blurred our head and heart, with love concurred” (line of inquiry)
Tears fell upon a senseless blank page, as self-pride suppressed dark vents of rage. We become silent when words don't engage, until we are touched by verses from a sage. Some arrive as a mentor with a mystic gaze, save us from being misplaced in ego's maze. As silver serpent skin begins to shed, we learn to walk a path where the sincere tread. With poetic expression a tale adorned. In the early dawn ink's ego was torn. Quill's rebirth reflecting a radiant sunrise, evolved the mind to portray sapphire skies. An alchemist's heart spoke of love's sweet strings. A melody mutating like butterfly wings. Vanity cast away, as a cold heart warmed. A rhapsody of roses with white petals formed. Emotions weaved words through the veil of time, in a fusion of metrically composed rhyme. With each beat, a rhythm of stanzas poured. In the canvas of life a masterpiece concurred. In union, poetry whispers through the air, cosmic swirls only honest poets share. As ego dies, speech become a divine exchange. Souls ignite when toxic thoughts begins to change.

You capture deftly the transmutation of ego to poetry 'when toxic thoughts begin to change'. Your senseless blank page filled with your rhapsody is adorned with rose petals. I look forward to more of your poetry through the weft of your words. Bravo.

Dear Silent one, I can absolutely feel the depth of this poem as you've so beautifully described how the arrival of a person can change our perspective towards life, bringing a transformation in our souls and letting us embrace ourselves without the manipulation of our ego.. Very true, ego can hinder our speach and the hearts tend to bleed in toxicity rather than swirling in creative aura.. Your descriptions are so profound here with those amazing imageries and impeccable wordplay! Brilliant!

I can even visualize this as a couple going to counseling and given advice to get "away a while" just the two on vacation where they reconnect to Life as it ought to be.

a marvelous and unique take on the contest prompt! I believe that one can only write honestly if one lets go of ego (as you suggested) and transcends to that place where creativity dwells. Your imagery and thoughts were compelling. I loved the last line: as ego dies, speech becomes a divine exchange. Wow! have a splendid evening, Sara
