Thank you for commenting on my poem. Your comments were spot on and kind. It came easily. Looking back, it may have been too sad. I was trying to write this type of poem, different from the ones I usually do. I had a mother who filled that place in my heart. Your words meant a lot to me. Thank you again.

I'm no psychiatrist, but I believe it is healthy to use poetry to vent emotions when necessary, especially if the feelings have been bottled up and become toxic. My condolences for that empty place in your heart that only one person could have filled but didn't. My appreciation for the candor it takes to share a write like this. Blessings ~ John
