To the One

To the one whose little bird has grown with wings spread wide, from narrow path has flown to search for truth, apart from righteousness who ventures forth, forsaking all the rest. To the one whose heart breaks from inside who knows her bird is flailing in the tide still flying towards the darkest shores of night away from cleansing waters of pure light. To the one whose spirit cannot rest who wrestles to believe in heaven’s quest that someday He will bring her young bird home redeemed by grace, her little bird His own. To the one whose bird has gone astray He hears your prayers, will answer them someday. 5/13/2022

Laura, this has brought tears to my eyes, at the moment my spirit cannot rest, I’ve been through a traumatic storm but I’m doing my best. A beautiful sonnet… Belle

Laura, I know these feelings firsthand. I am comforted to know a God who answers prayers and watches over the little birds as he cares for the sparrow of the field. Beautifully and compassionately stated in sonnet form, a Fav. Hugs ~ John

Thank you so much for the face, John! I know so many of us have experienced this, as we lift up our precious ones to the Lord in prayer…they are in His keeping. God bless!

I have a friend nursing a bird right now. But it was your art that caught my eye. Very good rhyming and thought.
