To the One
To the one whose little bird has grown
with wings spread wide, from narrow path has flown
to search for truth, apart from righteousness
who ventures forth, forsaking all the rest.
To the one whose heart breaks from inside
who knows her bird is flailing in the tide
still flying towards the darkest shores of night
away from cleansing waters of pure light.
To the one whose spirit cannot rest
who wrestles to believe in heaven’s quest
that someday He will bring her young bird home
redeemed by grace, her little bird His own.
To the one whose bird has gone astray
He hears your prayers, will answer them someday.
