Time Cannot Mend a Broken Heart

TIME CANNOT MEND A BROKEN HEART There are moments when I think of my life’s ups and downs, as well as the beauty and splendor of wonderful memories and the pains and sorrows that came my way. Then I think of my younger days, when life’s pains, sorrows, losses were quite distant and how they started trickling in my life, breaking my heart … how they hurt … Those times were hard, those times broke my heart; but somehow I made it through. The times I spent hurting, I would also think of the delightful moments I spent loving. Loving the people who touched my heart. Although, some are dead and some are living; they broke my diminutive heart, torn it to pieces or left deep cuts in it. My broken heart never mends for this heart of mine is very sensitive to pain, when those old memories come in my way for time did not heal it; it just dulled the pain. 2/25/22 Some Broken Hearts Never Mend Poetry Faraz Ajmal

Broken hearts are so common that everyone should know the only cure is to move on, but good luck in the contest! Aloha!
