Yes, time is eternal, and it is also our belief that we strive for, cherish, or surpass. We love it, but we can't go against it. I like your natural, free and profound language, which is fascinating . By the way, thank you very much for your encouragement. I am Chinese, best wishes fou you and your family!

No one truly knows how much time we have to live this life, so we must do all we can, while we can... A very expressive and somewhat haunting message you leave the reader with in this poem, John... Another amazing write from your talented hand!

John, I love this write. Sums up what so many artists attempt to paint, dance, write, sing. I can't think of a better vehicle to express this short but complex thought. A poetic rhyme with legs. I'm not sure I am clearly communicating here but I do know this is a brilliant write. A Fav for me. I think I am repeating myself but you inspire me John. You are a true poet my friend. You always leave me gobsmaked.

Armand -- always a great pleasure to see you making an appearance on my humble page. I think I understand what you are trying to express...time, is, indeed - such a paradox! How we perceive time is just one singular facet of a multidimensional crystal -- the fluidity of time - enthralling!! Many thanks, Armand...and my very warmest regards - as always! :) john P.s will be repaying you a visit very soon.

Gave me a different way to consider time. I wrote one called, Time Machine, since so much in the movies is about transcending time either forward or backward. My premise was that we can already do this with our minds (no Sci Fi contraption needed). I loved that this explores our frustration and fascination with time! This took work! I see that. Really interesting rhyme. Thoughtful!

I REALLY like this one , John. Time is a theme that poets write more and more about as time sneaks up on us. Dear Daver was really contemplating it a lot in the past year or two. You hit the nail on the head with this one.

Thanks, Andrea. Daver was a real nice chap...I am truly saddened by his death; I thought of him that night I read your poem. He is at rest now...may he rest in peace. Thank you for following up on my comment concerning Daver...it is very thoughtful of you and I am proud that you would think it a worthwhile thing to do. My very warmest regards, Andrea...as always! :) john P.s You have a big heart, Andrea Dietrich!

Hello, Terry. A great pleasure to become acquainted -- pleased to meet you! Love your remark concerning Herr Kant. Yes, I had read a little of the gentleman beforehand (the man was a towering intellect!!) but your comment provoked me into investigating him further -- many thanks for that! Wow.. brilliant, John. I love reading your thoughts. You've got such a way with words. Mankind will always try to explain and rationalize what they cannot fully understand. Much like reading a poem, our perspectives are limited, and our opinions, theories and queries vary. Cool to be back on your page! Always, Laura

Thank you, Timothy. Yes indeed: Riddles meant just for those who would fully understand! Most, unfortunately, do not fully understand this one; that is most evident by the comments they have left...would not take much to understand it completely though (just a careful read through!). My very best regards! :) john
