For The Contest, “Dodoitsu”
Sponsor, Ink Empress

A year appeared very long, In those days when I was young. Each season seemed not to end; So free of worries. But then, the older I grew I found that time passed too fast January- brand new year; Flash- it's December. Thrown into a busy life- My brain raced down the fast lane; Doing this and doing that- Zooming to the next. Could the measurement of time Be ruled by the stress of life; Racing toward solutions To achieve our goals? Not like when I played with dolls- And life was simple and fun. All that slow time wishing that I was all grown up.

I understand as I’ve grown older the quickness of time. Where does it go? …and perhaps we were all a bit wiser when time was slow, as we played with our dolls, and it was simple and fun. Why wish to grow up too fast…for we do grow up! Love this, Sandra, especially the final verse! Fave!
