Tides of Destiny

Once fragile, turquoise moment we first met Quick glance, shy smile, our paths became aligned Eternal gift our souls will not forget As ever deeper our roots twist entwined Within the mint of Paradise 'twas coined Design of God’s enchanted light unfurled In us at once, it seemed our lives conjoined By glory, wondrous beings have filled our world How daily does our love ring deeper still? Your scent, heart’s home, awakens me inside Electric touch as hands brush, breathless thrill That drives this cutter nigh to your high tide Surf sprays, the bow yields to its fertile mists On lusty surges, passion yet persists 8/4/16 © by author For Contest: All I could do was surrender Sponsor: Becca Teagan

This one had to grow on me. I was, at first, to dense to get your ship and sea metaphors. Congrats, Tom!

Love the metaphor, Tom. A wonderful piece you have written here. I would not have wished to be Becca when judging this contest. They are all wonderful.
