Thunderstorm
Lightening crashes
Clouds roll in,
Greyness swallows up the blue sky
Wind pulls and pushes-
As a tsunami anticipates.
I’ve never understood the power of a roar
Until you feel it in your chest-
A magnified heartbeat-
A tremble you can’t stop.
As darkness succumbs-
My pupils search for any source of light.
The lightning flashes,
Illuminating stormy waters and angry forests,
Trees bend and fold, hitting one another, some falling, some still.
skies scramble to latch onto any serenity.
The funny thing about a thunderstorm-
They are chaotic and unpredictable,
