The illusion of control in our lives Our Life, Pretend, Philosophy ...

Evil creeps upon the face of the earth Like lengthening shadows in a hot sun All that it touches loses its true worth Chaos and delusion, have now begun The ultimate illusion has caught man There is no stopping it until the end Driven by greed instead of one’s need It will seem like we’ve lost, then Truth will win You’re probably asking what we can do The light of God’s Love will show us the way In Him alone is the victory sure He’ll soon return, what a glorious day

Bill, wouldn't it be something if we could satisfy our needs without greed! That does seem like a difficult ask of many of us who occupy this world. I hope there is a solution to the madness and am trying to find a way to help it happen.

It may be beyond man's power but learn to treat others as we want to be treated and being more sensitive to needs of others is a good place to start. I salute your attitude and efforts, Duke. Have a great week! Bill

You know this is right up my alley Mr. Bill. The earth will not be destroyed by man's greed - Revelation 11:18; Matthew 5:5. Awesome poem

Dear Bill, this is such a captivating read and the reader is drawn in right from the first line. This is so well written. ‘ Like lengthening shadows in a hot sun’ - great line that really stood out. I love how it commences with eerie darkness of evil but then radiant light of God shines through like a beacon to show us the way. Victory is won. You are so right wise friend that life is becoming more of an illusion now than ever ‘ driven by greed instead of one’s need ‘ how true!

Dear Bill, I love how your poem reflects on the transient nature of evil and the enduring power of God's love. You convey the ominous presence of chaos and delusion through stark imagery yet offer hope in the eventual triumph of truth. Your message of finding peace in divine love is felt deeply, for we are to trust in God's guidance amidst the darkness. Thank you for sharing this poignant reminder of faith and hope. - Blessings, Daniel

Your words resonated with me Bill. It does seem as if evil has crept onto the face of the earth...how often we've pondered what we as an individual do. We've found that doing lovingly, Godly things has helped us feel as if we're doing our part. Lovely & wise words, my hubby. Hugs, Sara
