There She Is
Listen to poem:
There she is, her pose complete
striking and defined, beckoning me.
Those sweeping lines enhance her
most excellent form and demeanor.
As though she reads my thoughts
she turns to flash some forget-me-nots
drawing groans for what she's got.
She escapes common eyes,
but few keen ones recognize
all she can do for the one who
can woo her out of that cloak into view.
I am the one to draw her out
as she allows what I am about
to slice away distracting mass
birthing both beauty and class.
For as I perform I begin to see
her potential become a reality.
I laugh out loud to think I could
see a perfect spoon in a block of wood.
