The View

I wondered why I could not write why the pen seemed dry why words seem to circle like an eagle looking for prey the more I searched words eluded me yet like the eagle looking for the right kind of prey I kept searching for right words they appeared everywhere but nothing filled the appetite I decided to get a birds eye view of what was holding me back I think I needed to rest instead of spreading my wings a nest to sit and meditate the virus and lock downs were a perfect time to write yet these changes happening in life effected me in more ways than one so pen in hand I soar back to poetry land.

Lovely Phyl. Been there, done that, wear the t-shirt often and I feel your frustration. God Bless, JB
