The Search

I searched the world hoping to find A God of my liking-one of my kind My attitude dampened-my thoughts sublime I traveled in search of the Eternal Divine. This conquest of mine-I shall prevail Said a simple prayer, then set sail. To sacred places and to all the holy lands, Read ancient scripts passed thru many hands. I didnt want to pick any God by choice, But for that being to speak in His own voice. My search extended and turned to despair, I searched China and Egypt-traveled everywhere. Went to the Himalayas, crossed the river Jordan, There it was revealed-without clear warning. I traveled the earth at great sacrifice, To find God and some external paradise. To find a Almighty that I could see, But part of that God was inside me.
