The Monarch of the night descends, and for a time, her tenure ends at daybreak. She'll shut her eyes and sleep. But then ascends the regal Sovereign of daytime. Imperial his stately rise; majestic colors splash the skies - our daystar. His robe: the warmth; his sceptor: light. His court: white clouds; his crown: in bright gold - daylight. Clouds part as labor stains my brow; sweat stings my eyes. Of Luna now I daydream.

This is gorgeous! Great minds think alike, but I much prefer where you took the chosen compound words.
