The Quiet

I am there and and its quite lovely It's a place where we met and it still lingers I see you and I feel as if we were meant We walk towards each other as old friends Its silent The quiet meets us there and the sun Your face has familiarity but its the first Your name is like the dew on the grass Glistens and we walk hand in hand It calms The words are few and the field People are gathered around us but you You are what I have waited for and it quiets The quiet guides me to you since that moment Silencio I wake in the quiet and see you again I try to speak but no words put forth What about those promises and lawyers Dreams are broken and I see shapes The Quiet

Love the effect left from the unfinished sentences...it's a "what if" kind of poem..the kind that you should not dwell on for too long or it will consume you...(been there, done that). I have never read a poem like this one before. Keep that creativity alive, Patrick. It is very smooth. Gwendolen
