Delightful. Your layout and differentiation in word appearance are most effective. '...her light awakens' thank goodness! Well done David! Best wishes, Keith 7

Beautiful example of Tanka with a formatting twist. I like the spaciness of the line. I do not think there are any rules to the formatting for Japanese poetry styles, just the syllabic count. It's good to play with form!

Dear David, I can tell you are a man who truly "loves generously." When we are feeling sad, finding a new love can turn our lives around. Surely, this is a "rescued" soul. Thanks for your comments on my poem. Enjoyed this 7+ write! Best wishes, Carolyn

David, I am reading your poem again, it remains wonderful, there is something about those spaces between words that speaks to my soul, and thanks for visiting my poetry, I am working on more poems, I tend to be a slow writer, sometimes taking days to write one poem, not sure why that is but they seem to turn out my best ones ~~
