Speak not words of death, but life,
Let grace and mercy have full sway.
The tongue can sever like a knife,
But we can choose healing words to say,
And bring an end to needless strife.
Speak words of love and not of hate,
May compassion be your rule.
Let your acceptance resonate,
And kindness be a precious jewel,
That all can replicate.
Speak words of truth and not deceit,
For truth will be revealed.
Lies destroy and bring defeat.
Wield truth as an honored shield,
And falsehood must retreat.
