The Path of No Return
Each day I journey down the mysterious path of no return
Body and mind wondering if there should be cause for concern
My destination is unknown but onward I must travel
As life's bumpy road is strewn with barriers of boulders, rocks and gravel
I can't remember when it all began but it was many years ago
Countless faces crowd my mind as memories ebb and flow
Mistakes I have made that have turned the road to sand
Trudging on the only option leaving litter throughout the land
But I hope that I have also impacted lives in a positive manner
But only the stars were my witness and only they hold the answer
So on this day I walk on through green pastures, hill and berm
With only love in my heart as I move further down the path of no return
