The Little Things

I remember each day they were born Didn't have a clue what was in store (but) But to our sweet surprise we were under His wing And these heavenly gifts became our everything It’s the little things, yeah the little things Yeah, these memories don't need re-telling With popcorn and a home movie screen I can see with some thoughtful reflection The changes they’ve made Lord in me It’s the little things, yeah the little things My little guy and I walkin’ to our favorite fishin’ hole Him jabberin’ away with carryin’ his cane pole She’s so cute with her kittys and pups (and) Her heart showin’ us the meaning of love It’s the little things, oh the little things Yeah, these memories don't need re-telling With popcorn and a home movie screen I can see with some thoughtful reflection The changes they’ve made Lord in me It’s the little things, yeah the little things She sings, oh she sings wherever she goes Our happy heart is the star of the show She makes friends with all she’s met With her big doe eyes that you can’t forget Man it’s the little things, yeah the little things Yeah, these memories don't need re-telling With popcorn and a home movie screen I can see with some thoughtful reflection The changes they’ve made Lord in me It’s the little things, yeah the little things Didn't take long but he grew taller than me With a voice as deep as the sea (and) His teen-age single word answers were sometimes hard to talk to Till the day he said, “Dad I’ve already won if I grow up just like you” It’s the little things, yeah the little things Yeah, these memories don't need re-telling With popcorn and a home movie screen I can see with some thoughtful reflection The changes they’ve made Lord in me It’s the little things, yeah the little things Yeah the little things Don't forget the little things…
