The Law of Unintended Consequences

I am a scientist and like to believe I live in rational universe where cause and effect apply and that Newton’s third law “when two objects interact, they apply forces to each other of equal magnitude and opposite direction” might be extended to human interactions. Indeed, most of the women to whom I’m attracted are repelled by me. But electrical forces complicate the situation as opposite charges attract, which could explain what happened between us, although relativity, quantum physics and maybe even string theory might have to be invoked to explain what holds us together.
