THE KANGAROOS HAVE LANDED!

I FELL ONE NIGHT, WELL IT WAS DARK! THEN WOUND MY WAY INTO A PARK IT'S PEOPLED BUT WITH KANGAROOS WHO HAVE LOST ONE OR MORE OF SHOES BETTER THAN LOSING PANTS, I GUESS WHO CARES! SIT DOWN! PUT ON YOUR DRESS! TIME FOR LUNCH. OH BOY, WE GROWL SOUP IS COLD, THE CHICKEN FOWL AT SHOWERTIME, IT'S BEST TO SING FOR THAT CURES WARTS AND EVERYTHING WELL, ALMOST—WE STILL HAVE TO BATHE REMEMBER NOSE STAYS WHEN YOU SHAVE! EACH DAY WE HEAR SOMEBODY'S VIEWS AGAIN AND AGAIN—JUST LIKE THE NEWS AND STORIES—THERE'S NO PLACE TO HIDE SO WE STEAL A NAP UNTIL IT SUBSIDES I'M PRETTY SURE NOW ABOUT THIS PARK IT'S WHERE WE GO WHEN IT GETS DARK NO ONE HERE SEEMS TO BE ADEPT AT REMEMBERING THINGS BEFORE WE SLEPT OR WHO YOU ARE, OR MAYBE ME OR ANYTHING THAT STARTS WITH "THE" AT ADJECTIVES WE ONLY SHRUG AND A SYNONYM—ISN'T THAT A BUG? SOME TAKE TO WHISTLING IN THE DARK AND CREATE WAYS TO ESCAPE THIS PARK YET NO ONE LEAVES FOR THIS IS HOME AND KANGAROOS ARE TOO OLD TO ROAM

Absolutely delightful, Ann! Whimsy on the loose! We have a park at the end of our street. Wonder if there are kangaroos there after dark?! Will have to go one night and check! This would be terrific for children and, of course, children of all ages! Blessings! Thank you for this flight of fancy today!

How charming and whimsical, love the idea of kangaroos losing their shoes! I also like to steal a nap to hide from the news, maybe I'll see some funny things in my park soon~

Life is what we make, and so is home, Ann, and you manage to make both joyful as you write with a grin and a smile. I assure you that I truly enjoyed this light verse. ~ Best regards // paul

Thanks. Daniel! I'm good and have new friends. The large tree in my patio finally leafed. A roadrunner stops by to see what's for dinner...thankfully, no snakes. I hope all is well with you :)

Thanks, Deb. Friends asked when I was going to write about this place, so I did. You know, we gotta laugh or it and the world can make you sad.
