The Journey of Birth
Stopped by sound without words
Traveling through time without sight
This Journey is within my mind
Aloof this body has become
I have traveled without and within
Tracing through time my memories
Once I was not and then I became
with doctors above a bright light
A snip of a cord and I then I was born
I cried then you cuddle me
Suckling your breast from within,
A flavor beyond compare
Placed within a blanket
A thumb reaching for my mouth
Wondering how long I will live this life
Smiling with laughter and glee
Tickling became a part of me
A swing that swung me to sleep
With sights twirling above me
My eyes in a trance
We will always be as one
But separated only by death
You gave me a life I cannot repay
I will love you each and every day
My Mother,
Never to be forgotten
