The Hunter's Chase

They came around and stared you down the hound dogs took a rest The barrel's eyes found their surprise your speed put to the test So off you ran for safety's sake spare time you couldn't afford Before the pack was on your back to claim their day's reward The sounds of gunshots and barking dogs were ringing in your ears Your instinct cried out in your head your heart alive with fear You had to seek your refuge place as many times before And as you did the hunter's chase was but in vain once more.
