The Ghetto Child In Me

The ghetto child in me It’s the ghetto child in me that makes me not to turn the other cheek when someone beats me. It’s the ghetto child in me that says beat the hell out of the person that tries to mess around with you It’s where I come from were thieves are taught a lesson Where swearing and cussing is a common act Where violence is desired and peace frowned upon It’s where I was born that makes me behave the way i do Read a book and you will be bewitched Buy a car and you will be the talk of the town It’s the ghetto child in me That makes me fall in love with chaos Which makes me make Conman and prostitutes the real heroes of life Which makes me believe smoking weed makes you the ultimate star It’s the ghetto child in me that makes me do the things I do. Which makes me careless and less appreciative to success stories Which makes me believe lies more than the truth It is the ghetto child me that makes me perceive everyone to be at the same level It is the ghetto child in me that brings me momentary peace sometimes It’s the ghetto child in me that makes me survive the wars amongst my people I am a ghetto child and no one can change that.
